Storytelling

America’s Great Stories® is a storytelling ministry based in Lincoln, Nebraska. Since 2001, we have presented to elementary-aged children and teens the true stories of American leaders and their faith in God. Now, we are videotaping these presentations to post on our website for all to enjoy!

Our Mission

We present stories to inspire children and teens to grow in the love and true greatness of Jesus Christ.

Declaration of Faith

  1. The Bible—the Old and New Testaments in their entirety—is God’s Holy Word given to all people by God. It is true, without error, complete, and is our final authority.  (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
  2. There is one God, existing forever as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:4-6)
  3. Jesus Christ is God. He was born of a virgin, lived on earth without sin, shed His blood on the cross as the Perfect Sacrifice for our sins and the sins of the world. His body was raised from the dead, and He went up to heaven where He now sits at the right hand of God. Jesus Christ will come again in power and great glory. (Acts 1:11, Philippians 2:5-11)
  4. God loves you so much that He wants you to become His very own child by your personally believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and accepting His forgiveness of your sins. This is salvation—through God’s gift we become spiritually alive and live forever with Him on earth and in heaven. (Ephesians 2:8-9, John 14:6)
  5. The Holy Spirit lives in and works in each believer to glorify God. As we live for God and obey God’s word, we will grow in the true greatness of Jesus Christ. (Colossians 1:9-10, Ephesians 4:13-16)
  6. There is one church made up of every person who has personally believed on the Lord Jesus as his or her Savior. (Romans 12:5)
  7. God wants His children to reach out to other people with His Truth, Love, and Grace so that many may come to know Jesus. (Mark 16:15)
